Although our group filled the lodge, it never felt cramped or anxious. And considering we were quite the diverse group, that’s saying something! We ranged in age from 3 to 78, and because the Ponderosa is so spacious and accessible, our quadriplegic friend was able to join us and enjoy your hospitality as well. You are wonderful hosts, excellent cooks and knowledgeable guides to the area. It was so nice to wake up to your tasty breakfasts, as well as to be able to use the kitchen to cook our own dinners. My daughter and the other kids really enjoyed the grounds—ponds, volleyball field, hammock, etc.! Thank you Ken and Jorene for being kind and generous hosts for our cousins reunion. The lodge was warm and inviting and a very spacious place for our gathering. We had an awesome time going horseback riding down the New River Gorge and the walk up your trail to the top of the mountain was inspiring. The view was wonderful. We were thrilled with the variety of wildlife we encountered. Your suggestion on the use of your kitchen facilities for us to prepare our food was very hospitable and saved us on the meals.
